I have a book which tells the stories behind many of the hymns we know and love. I keep it on the bedside table in our guest room. I was getting the room ready for guests and began thumbing through it. I was surprise to learn that a lay minister wrote THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER! Read how it became our national anthem.
