I was at a meeting yesterday and the devotion centered around the old hymns, their history, their writers, and their power to draw us closer to God’s Word. Terry played this one for us and shared the story behind the song.
Listen and reflect on God’s Saving Grace. He wants us to come to Him, just as we are.

Of Interest: This hymn was written by Charlotte Elliott. She was born in 1789 in England. Early in her life she was a portrart artist. When she became ill and had a difficult time getting around, she began to write. She wrote 150 hymns and poems. She wrote Just As I Am in 1836. This hymn was Bily Graham's favorite. He used it at nearly every crusade for the invitational.
