Many of us were able to watch the re-enactment of Corrie ten Boom by Vickie Gaynier during the August OUTPOST session. Everyone I spoke with enjoyed her presentation .

If you have never read Corrie's autobiography, The Hiding Place, you may be interested to know that the movie can be found on Prime's streaming app. The book can be found at most libraries, at Amazon, and also in most Christian Book Stores. Her book tells about how she and her family saved the lives of around 800 Jewish people during the Holocaust and how she survived the concentration camp. There are many other books about her, both as autobiogaphies and biographies,

Some Quotes by Corrie ten Boom:

  • "Worry is like a rocking chair; it keeps you busy, but does not bring you farther."

  • "Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God."

  • "Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the door of resentment and the handcuffs of hatred. It is a power that breaks the chains of bitterness and the shackles of selfishness."

  • "If you look at the world, you'll be distressed. If you look within, you'll be depressed. If you look at God you'll be at rest. Hold everything in your hands lightly, otherwise it hurts when God pries your fingers open."
